Sorry guys, quick question. I've been asked to go to Alton Towers on the 21st, which is a Friday.
I liked it last time I went (a few years ago) as we went during the week and it was very quiet (no queue for Oblivion for example).

However, it looks like their Scarefest thing is on, and according to Towers Almanac it will be "Very Busy".

Does anyone know if that is correct, because I can't imagine it being that bad on a Friday. I don't really want to go if I'm only going to get on a couple of rides.

Any help would be great, thanks.
I sort of need to book the day off work today if I'm going. :p

With it being a major event in the Towers calendar, I can see it being busy with international tourists too, as was the case last time I went during Scarefest. Other than that, if it is during school time, I can't see it being too bad.

I think Fridays (especially around this time of year) are generally busier.

I went to Thorpe Park last Friday and it was fairly busy (45min queues for most rides). Normally we go mid week in September when everyone's back to school and never have to wait more than 10 minutes to get on a ride (most of the time we walk straight on).

It seems to be busy most days regardless of holidays. Best option is to buy fast track tickets for the rides you really want to go on and not wait in a long queue.
