Alton Towers VR Rollercoaster

Alton Towers will be opening a virtual reality experience in 4D, apparently powered by the Gear VR. What I'm wondering is, how are they powering the headset? If it's a phone, they might be able to nick them. If something else, could it be something more powerful that makes better use of the lens resolution and shows off better visuals in the GVR?

I reckon they'll have the staff/security on the look out for any five finger discounts.

Heck even just have some software on them to instantly brick any 'phone' that was disconnected.
