I found a webby a year or so ago that advertised aluminium footwells. I've been trying to find them recently, but they seem to have fallen off the internet, I can't remember the name or website for them.

Now, WHAT I DON'T WANT is floor mats. I could easily get a set of chequerplate floormats for £20. This company took out all the carpet in the footwell and replaced it with chequerplate, all the sides of the central console too, and it looked fantastic!

I was more like a company advertising a service, not an off the shelf product. They had pictures of example cars, and they said they could put it in any car.

So, anyone have any ideas?

I had "tailored" checkerplate footwell plates in my 106 (still have actually, just havent replaced them) and they're awful. They do kind of look good imo in some applications, but they are horrible for cleaning, showing dirt and worst of all they're mega slippery with the slightest hint of water.
