Aluminium Mouse Pads

Howdy. Been offered a new Lian-Li aluminium mouse pad for next to nothing. Just wondering are there any real benefits to using one over a regular mouse mat (currently using an Everglide Titan which I find okay).

So... any aluminium mouse mat owners out there? What are your experiences?

I used to have one and the cursor kept jumping all over the place so stopped using it.

surly they would last longer and should provide a smoother glide; if its cheap/free then just try it
