Was at a country fair today with my family minding my own business and taking some photo's. I got approached by 2 security guards (female and a male) who demanded to know what i was doing. Ii was pretty gobsmacked to be honest, i wasn't doing anything other than taking a few shots of a spit flying overhead.

Anyone else had this issue whilst out with the camera?

PS some of the shots I took

You have your camera taking photos and they ask what you are doing?

Ask them not only for their SIA badge but also their "common sense passport"

bejesus

I've never felt the need to approach anyone taking photos when I've been doing security work apart from one event where we were told to challenge as it was a school sports event, but then I also have a beard so I feel your pain in being oppressed by the non beard folk.

Gathering intelligence on the RAFs new plane that will be used against the Germans.

Don't forget, you're also deciding what to use for the US Air Force and make sure they have enough fire power, just in case Japan do any surprise moves.

Common sense isn't just uncommon now, it seems to be dying out completely. :(

So you do have a beard... mate I 100% guarantee if you didn't have that beard you would not have been stopped and questioned

It's a classic case of beard discrimination :D

I was always told never to trust men... or women with beards lol just kidding.

Really amazing pictures btw ;)

I got called a paedophile yesterday by some jumped up mum, I swear they fire something out from between their legs and they think their opinion somehow matters?

the fact I was using a macro lens to take photos of the bees pollinating the rose flowers in the public garden didn't seem to sway her, next thing I know I have two psco asking me why i'm taking photos with a long lens in a public area and to see my images, all the while the crazed **tch is raving that I'm a paedophile to everyone within a two mile radius....

After handing my camera over and showing the pictures, including the image her retarded sun blunders into... which you can only tell is a human by the blur in the background being red not green. After proving my innocence i get told by the PSCO's that I shouldn't use my camera in public as it might upset people...

Well this just made me lose faith in humanity a little more.

You should have said that morons causing a fuss over nothing and preventing you from enjoying your hobby upsets you.

Every time I read about these kind of things happening it really makes my blood boil. You're in a public place, provided you're not sat in a bush using a 600mm lens to gawp through someone's bedroom window, use your camera however you wish and make no apologies for it. If people do complain simply treat them with the disdain their idiocy deserves.

These idiots don't complain about the hundreds of other people they come across using camera phones, why is someone with a proper camera such an issue?

Make a complaint against the PCSOs at the local police station? They probably won't do anything but it may do something. Alternatively how about making a harassment claim against the woman shouting Paedo? People need to learn and shut the hell up.

They are a prime reason the older I get (only late 20s) the more I want to leave this ****hole behind and become a recluse in the woods somewhere. At least you don't have to deal with imbaciles all your life. :(
