Righty, system spec 1st:

805 @4ghz (200x20 ofc)
corsair xms2 6400 cas5
asus P5N32 sli se deluxe

(i know, i know, its screaming for a conroe..)

the ram is 800mhz right? so, does that not mean it should be able to run at 400mz? (as in, a 1:2 ratio fsb:ram) As cpu-z states that this ram should do latencies of 5-5-5-15 at 400mhz, or is this 400mhz meant to be 200mhz (as is shown in cpu-z) i cant get it to go any higher than about 220mhz... am i missing something?

(i have only recently started using ddr2 mem, i'm used to standard ddr... sorry if the question is stupid...)

Many thanks in advance

400mhz in CPU-Z is 800mhz in reality. It doesn't double it like it should for ddr (double data rate) RAM.

yeah, its set at 880mhz in the bios, locked at 1:1 with the fsb, but under the rated timings for this memory, it says 5-5-5-15 @ 400mhz... so shouldn't i be able to push this at least another 180mhz b4 it even things about struggling?

Ta again
