Get rid of the GTS and get 2x ATI to Crossfire...

I have already dun sum research on *** Ati cards ...

So really this is just a second opinion.

Your board can do crossfire but the second card will most probably be bandwidth limited with PCI-E x4

Which GTS do you have is it 8800 320 640 or 512?

EDIT: I see it in your sig. Your best bet is to just sell it and go for a 4870 or GTX280 or is you really feel like you want xfire go for the 4870x2? Its all about budget really.

I agree with this. Getting a new single card will give you a lot better performance for a lot less hassle.

Do this. Getting a new nVidia motherboard just for another GTS 640 would be pointless.


Though, if you are going to change your motherboard anyway for other reasons (processor and/or DDR3) and want to try crossfire 2 x 4850s would be a good idea... or 2x 4870x2s if you're crazy and have both a huge monitor and a huge budget :p
