Am I crazy to refuse a 4K UHD monitor as an RMA replacement?

My MSI MAG27QRF-QD went faulty after 28 months and thankfully it has a 36 month warranty. The rainforest store wouldn't honour the warranty because it's over 24 months and told me to go through MSI. I went through MSI and did the RMA process which was fairly easy so props to MSI for that and a 7 days later they said it's unfixable so go back the the retailer to find out if they want the monitor back in order to issue a refund or replacement. So back to the rainforest store and they still told me to get lost and deal with MSI, so I went back to MSI who told me they'll look at what they can do.

This is my dead monitor - https://www.msi.com/Monitor/MAG-274QRFW

This morning I have an email offering me this monitor - https://www.msi.com/Monitor/MAG-274URFW

I have turned down that offer because I don't want 4K UHD. This forum knows we can't do 4K at high refresh yet and I don't want to downscale 4K to 1440p and have a crappy blurry image.

Instead I have requested this monitor - https://www.msi.com/Monitor/G274QPX - which is the same price as what MSI offered.

And then I also requested this monitor :D - https://www.msi.com/Monitor/MAG-271QPX-QD-OLED-E2 - which is everything I want but is OLED and is not £400 like all the other monitors... it's £750

Should I have taken the 4K? would you have taken the 4K offer?

Quite a personal thing really - I still use 2560x1440 for my main gaming and productivity uses but do have a 43" 4K display additionally connected up as well to my gaming PC.

4k on a 27" with no scaling is too small imo, hopefully they let you have the 27" you requested with 1440p.

Had a reply saying they can't do OLED, still worth a shot imo you never know, and instead offered a 1440p 160Hz curved screen which I've rejected because curved and so have suggested I try again to get a refund.
