Hi Guys,

I am very new to F@H, however I am not sure of how the points system works.
My rig is: i7-2700K @ 4.6ghz and 8gb ram(other 8gb away under warranty) and an ATI HD6950 (as 6970).

So far I have folded 58 WU and scored 88121 - avg = 1519 per WU. Is this normal? or should the points be higher?

I followed the tutorial on F@H GPU Tracker v2 and have selected (-advmethods) and also (-bigadv).

Any thoughts or advice welcome.

I am only a part time folder and there are those more knowledgeable than me who may answer you better too.
From memory i know you have to do so many smp units before you can start getting bonuses for bigadv etc but scores do look a tad low am sure someone will be along and give you a better idea.

you can boost your GPU score by doing the new core 16 WU, not sure how u would flag those up on F@H tracker though.
 
You wont be getting bonus points on bigadv WU's unles a) you have a passkey, or b) you have done 10 normal SMP WU's

Oh and don't bother with the Ati it just doesn't perform on folding as it should and sucks the cpu of points as well while its trying.
 
Chances are you won't be getting any bigadvs at the moment anyway, seems to be a shortage of them going around!

If you can post up the number of the WU you're on we can find out if it's bigadv or not.
