Am I going crazy?

Holy ****, it really has disappeared. WTF?

If there was a problem, why not just moderate whichever offending posts caused the problem?

In general there are two reasons why a whole thread might disappear.
1: It's got so many posts that need editing that it's going to be much easier to remove the whole thread.
2: The basic thread itself is against the rules, or not deemed suitable for the forum.

The thread in question opened with a fairly gory picture, which I suspect is the reason it was removed.

We don't leave notes about why a thread was removed because it would be rather time consuming to inform everyone who had a post/thread removed every time via email, and it's not practical via the forum (to my knowledge).
The forum software as standard lets us leave a reason for a threads removal, but it's only visible to mods AFAIK (and a lot of the time leaving the title visible to users would partially defeat the reason for removing a thread).

C'mon, if whomever deleted the thread thought that the picture in question was gory then quite frankly they don't deserve to have the power to delete, or lock, threads!

The only gore in the original picture was the blood on the poor bulls back from the spears.

The only thing I can assume got it locked was the links to videos that appeared - and they weren't particularly gory in themselves either.

Was a specific reason for the thread removal left for mods to see?

Ironic; that guy does look a little bit like John Locke.

Or not. Who knows. I'm fairly drunk so maybe it's psychosomatic.

Matadors are show off idiots, if they want to go and mix it with a ton of prime steak thats theyre choice, if they get hurt thats how it goes. I dont like how they treat the animal, (and im a shooter/hunter) ive shot many wild animals because i like to eat different types of meat, but the spanish with their bull fighting have got it wrong, i find it very cruel, if im gonna shoot an animal, i believe in using a single shot from a high powered rifle to avoid causing any suffering to the animal, i dont think it should be a form of entertainment

Time for a poll on the original story:

1) I hope he dies slowly and rots in hell.
2) I think that he got his just desserts but don't wish any more harm on him.
3) No feelings either way.
4) I feel that he is a true sporting hero, suffering for his art.
