Am I going mad? iPhone os 3.0 can't sort contact order?

Basically my 3g os 3.0 iPhone has the contacts sorted by last name and I want first name, however there doesn't appear to be an option?

I've gone to settings > phone and there's nothing there?

Am I going mad or could it be missing?

Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Contacts -> Sort Order = First, Last

actually I wasn't but your pointer worked...

I didn't have the setting mail, contacts, calendars because I used poof in bossprefs to remove the mail and calendar icons because I use my blackberry for that, the iphone is strictly for music and fun.. removing the icons removed the settings tab..

put them back, got the option back, changed the sort order, removed them again and its stuck.
