Going to be ordering some new guts on monday and have come up with the following. . .

E2180 C2D

MSI NEO2-FR iP35 Mobo

4 x 1GB Corsair XMS2 PC6400 4-4-4-12

Arctic Pro 7 Cooler

Im looking at hopefully getting 3Ghz.

Will this be achievable with this set up?

Am i better getting 2 x 2GB Corsair XMS2 PC6400 5-5-5-18?

Will the cooler fit ok?

Cooler will be fine and i'd rather have 2x2gb than 4x1.

Would i not be better with 2 x 2gb sticks, ive read something about over working the memory controller?

Well Toms Hardware did good with overclocking with the same mobo. They used this RAM, however, I can't see why Corsair should be any worse.
