Evening all,

So finally got my replacment Sabertooth Z77 today, so started to install it and everything went smoothly. That was until I tried to install my KFA2 GTX 670 OC and TP LINK 300mbps Wireless Card both are dead.

So it seems like my old mobo took both of these with it when it died :(

Am I just one in a million or is this sort of thing more common then you think ?

Was it a PSU failure on your old machine? A motherboard won't really take things with it when it goes. I mean I guess it's possible but that kind of damage is sounding like a PSU failure?

Or something else?

I have tried the wireless card in my old dell and its not recognised just gets too hot to touch and I cant test the 670 in any other machine cos they dont have a pcie port but when its plugged in the fans spin at full rpm and nothing is detected although i know the pcie is fine on my new board as ive tested an old 8600gs in it and that works fine
