Hi Gents
Last year I picked out the specs for my new PC. Not being confident enough to assemble it myself I had a local PC shop put the main components together and install W10.
Being a bit bolder recently I decided to give overclocking a go. I was checking out my timings on all components when I noticed that my RAM was running at a considerable amount less than it should be.
The G skill RAM is on QVL for this MB, I checked before I purchased it. RAM is fitted to slots #2 & #4
Are these speeds correct ?

When I enable the XMP in BOIS it just goes blank and will not start up..

Thanks guys..

If you're looking at the "DRAM Frequency" you need to multiply it by 2 as it's DDR - Double Data Rate, so it's likely half what you're expecting.

See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_data_rate

Now from the images you're showing it's running at 2133, which is generally a base speed for DDR4, as you said when you enable XMP it refuses to boot, likely it requires a bit of tweaking as the XMP profiles are pretty generic and do sometimes require tweaking, try upping the DRAM voltage just a tiny bit. Obviously don't do this if you're not comfortable with changing these settings and consult an actual guide if you're going to try anything.

I'll likely get flamed for saying this, 2133 is honestly fine for ram speed, personally I'd just leave it as it is, especially if you're not comfortable.

Bare minimum set the memory voltage to 1.35V and speed to 3200, should do that without any other adjustments.

Oh I'm comfortable tinkering with it now.. Ill set voltage to 1.35 and speed to 3200 and report back.

Thanks Guys
