£791 with 16gb pc24000 3000mhz ddr4 with the 7700k cpu, this is also liquid cooled.

compared to the other 7700k bundles

£839 with the same specs as far as i can see and also the stock cooler is not instock so i would have to add another £45 to that... am i missing something with the specs here or is the top bundle a no brainer?

Hi welcome

Neither of those are worth buying now that we have CoffeeLake.

I would do something like this. The i7 8700K is 6 core/12 threads compared to 4core/8threads with the i7 7700K. You would have to overclock the cpu yourself but you can get help for that in the overclocking section if you need it.

You would need to make sure your case can fit a 280mm radiator.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £789.02 (includes shipping: £11.10)

Alternatively, you could save a bit of money and get a decent dual-tower air cooler. These perform similarly to AIO's, but are less noisy and can't leak fluid. But do check your case clearances first.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £927.56 (includes shipping: £11.70)

Performance wise Noctua is the best cooler of the 3, but most expensive.
The BeQuiet is the most quiet, but runs slightly hotter than the Noctua.
The Cryorig is a middle ground between the two - a bit louder than the Bequiet, but runs slightly cooler.

If you have a windowed case you obviously might want to avoid the Noctua, due to the 'unique' colour scheme.

hmm ok i wasnt sure what was best i thought with the 7700k having a faster single core it would be better for gaming due to some games not utilizing multiple cores very well...
at least that takes the choice out of things assuming my case is ok... i built my current comp 6 year ago (my first build).
i know its a nzxt case but not sure of the model number and not sure what size radiator is in there now il have to check when i get home.

thanks for your help

i dont have a windowed case atm although may decide to get one in the future.. il have a nosey at them although i will probably stick with the liquid cooling for the little bit extra, i like having the extra bit of space in the case :)
thank you for your reply

ok im home now and my current radiator is 160mm x 120mm and that is about the limit i could fit i think. so that liquid cooler is out of the question :/ what about the h75 would that be my choice that will fit in my case?

If you can find out which NZXT case it is then we can give you something to fit. Some of the above air coolers might not fit depending on the width of the case.

Maybe have a look through NZXT website, or the ones on OCUK to see if you can identify it.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/nzxt...b3.0-full-tower-case-red-white-ca-027-nx.html thats the exact one by the looks of it.

From just having a quick look, it only supports 120m radiators as standard at the top, but with a little modding of the case it supports 240mm etc.

Has loads of room for CPU air coolers though.
would their be a difference in temps between only having a 120mm radiator and using a fan? ive only ever used stock fans before i got the liquid cooling thats in my current system so... plus what about noise levels? my pc is in my bedroom and is often left on overnight.
cheers for your help guys

A 120mm AIO isn't enough if you want to get a good overclock imo. These cpu's still run pretty hot. I would go with a nice air cooler such as the Noctua D15S. It is a very quiet cooler and will perform about the same as a 240mm AIO. You can use tall ram as well as the D15S doesn't overhang the slots. It also has very good clearance with the top pcie slot.
