Well, I agree that its good to have an energy efficient home. Lets be fair only a fool would want to be wasting money on heating or other energy sources but, there is more to it than just sticking a value on a homes efficiency.
Like I said before, I can see the government making this an opportunity for a new 'environmentally friendly house tax'. This kind of thing is not fair because Muban and others that live in listed buildings would be penalised because they are not allowed to modernise their homes.
In my experience surveys are always a bit 'wooly' about details and have great get out clauses.
As for my comment about it being 'a communist type' idea I'm quite happy to take your criticisms on this view if you'd like to share which communist country you have lived in and for how long. Many people don't know much about communism apart from 'they drive Lada's and eat cabbage soup', how wrong they are!
