Am I overlooking something here

Hi Guys,

just after a bit of advice before I give OC tech support a call.

I have the asus p5n32-e sli mobo and over the past week or so the system has been constantly crashing with various bsod's but today I have come to use my pc and it is failing to pick up my network.

I have a linksys WRT54-GS router and a netgear gig switch but it fails to get a peoper dhcp address from either the mini mc (internet sharing) or the router. I have tested the network cable, router and switch with a laptop and they all work fine.


So is this something that can be fixed or not.

I have tried both nic's on the board and only get apipa addresses and have also tried both my xp and vista installs on the machine with little success.

So was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or is it now time to get in touch with OCuk and get them to test it for me.


I'm running the following on the board:

e6600 + tuniq tower 120
4 1GB OCZ DDR2 800Mhz
3x 74GB raptors
2x WD 500GB AAKS
1x 160GB Maxtor
2x Icydock 3-5 hotswap SATA bays
2x DVDRW
coolermaster 1000W Power M psu
couple of case fans.

Nothing software wise has changed on the machine.
I'm running xp mce 2005 and vista ultimate 32bit

I am using bios 1403
