Am I Reading This Correctly?

I'd assume you'd have no trouble getting a refund though as the "item specifics" and "detailed item information" contain enough misleading information that you could easily argue that it's not as described.

the description isnt misleading, its pretty clear its just the box

I don't read it as a scam. I remember the X-Box box scams with poorly worded adverts, but this seller clearly says that it is a box that would replace a tatty one if the buyer wanted to sell theirs.

I blame the idiot bidders, not the seller on this one. (no, I'm not the seller!)

He does clearly state its a box twice BUT hes also listed it as WiFi % Blue Ray capable with a power supply and a 500GB hard rive. So its incorrectly listed and violates eBay rules.

Also you can check his ebay rating and his past few auctions. Its not his first suspect auction.

The box appears to be pretty high tech.

Can he return the box in the grounds that it doesn't match the advertised specs?

[edit: I just reported the listed as "misleading item for sale". If more people report it douchebags like him will have their listing removed.]

Bargain!

Edit: Also sold "White House Down (DVD, 2014) ultra violet code unwanted and unused"... I guess the poor disappointed seller got what was advertised.
