Gilly? He was a Don and then a Commissario for quite a few years.

He drifted away and went on to co-host a footie podcast.

He had some skills with a ball himself, this was in Swansea on the Sunday after one of our Christmas bashes.

Wow, I hadn't seen him post much lately but didn't realise it was more than 5 years. I could've sworn I'd seen him sneak back in more recently, just shows how time flies.

Yes when I think about the football forum he's one of the names that is synonymous with it for me. I met him about 20 years ago at one or two of the Swansea meets, he was a lot louder / more sociable than I'd been expecting (not sure why, I think I expected most forum users to be nerds like I was, and that we'd just talk about football or something heh :) )

That name is a blast from the past.

I remember a video of him and some.others dancing / fancy footwork from an OcUK meet many, many moons ago. I was probably about 15 at the time and very jealous I couldn't come to a meet up.

He was one of those people synonymous with OcUK meets and forums in the hayday of when the internet felt like a community.
 
I remember him during a game of the OCUK Poker Tournament having to go all in a few times in the hope of losing. He'd let his daughter watch Marley and Me in the other room and forgot about the sad bit and had to dash off to comfort her.

I know there are a lot of nerds on here and people who maybe aren't socially confident, but everyone I've met from the forum has actually been pretty gregarious. None of them have come across as anti-social, though I suppose those chaps don't come out!

Same here, met plenty of the bros from sports arena and everyone has been normal :eek:
