Am I the only one that hates GFWL?

I'v been playing lots of DOW II with some friends and there isn't a single time where we all log into our GFWL profiles on the first attempt. It seems that if it doesn't log in successfully during the intro movie (before you get to the menu screen) then it takes like three attempts. Sometime a restart (of the game) is required)

Anyone else having these obscene problems? I didn't at first but slowly it seems to be getting worse and my buddies have the same problem. Nothing like a buggy POS that you didnt want in the first place preventing you from playing a game you love......

I really like GFWL, mp is great and easy with it. Nice achievements, friends is easy to do. Logging in is fine too.

It is probably a game thing or connection prob or something along those lines for you.

Wouldn't say I like it, but I wouldn't say I hate it either. The thing that niggles me is that it has to slide/fade things about when you click on them. I like things to happen instantly. Then again, I've only ever really used it with GTA IV. Maybe it would bug me more if I used it daily.

its just plain annoying - that slidey fadey nonsense has no snese to it, just slows thing up, i want to play games not mess about with a half arsed peice of software clicking about.

grrr and dont get me started on gta4- hopw many things do you need to log onto to play the game?

GFWL is a worthless POS. It's never been required and it adds nothing (indeed detracts in a few ways) from my PC gaming experience.

GFWL is a good idea, but the execution is terrible. It's so buggy and the support pages you have to search through to get the thing working is ridiculous. It's meant to make things easier, but if it doesn't work first time, prepare for hell.

Was a little bit of faff getting it set up for GTA4, but since then it's just run in the background when playing a game. I've never actually gone on the website or loading the app or whatever to look at any stats.

Can't say it's any worse than Steam from what I can see.

My only experience of this has been with GTA4 and Steam, and that was verrrrrry bad.

I just couldn't login to save games.

I think the problem stems from having an old, defunct hotmail/passport account I signed up to in 1998. It just hates me.

I've given up. I just can't be arsed to mess around for hours / reading forums to find a solution. Not only this, my antipathy is so bad, I can't even be bothered to claim a refund. Maybe I'll try it again some day, and it'll work magically. But I doubt it.
