I lost my job as you know, fair enough thats life.

I've been given a leavers date its 8th of november, and i've been asked to train the next bloke

WTF

they are getting rid of me because i can't fulfill the job properly
but want me to train the next guy???

Now frankly this is insulting. And i most certainly do not want to train this next guy, but they said they will give me a reference for my next job and i don't want to risk losing the chance of that reference by basically saying I'm not going to train whoever it is.

Question is...what do I do?

Do I bite the bullet and train the guy thats replacing me?

Or stand my ground and have a quiet word with my Manager and tell him I don't feel comfitable doing it

Thanks All

Do they not mean 'train' him, as in show him what you were doing so he can carry on where you left off with minimal problems?

well they want me to train him for a week. how to do my job and that.

I don't understand this bit. Have they told you specifically why you're not up to the job?

I was told they are getting rif of me because this next person has qualifications and I don't, which is irevelent if i can do the job and i get good reviews from everyone

Its called handover

That i know, but If i had resigned I wouldn't mind doing this, but its the fact that I haven't and they still want me to do it. I don't owe the company anything. I'm not even employed by them, I'm contracted by a job agency I could walk out now and they wouldn't be able to anything
