Am I the only one who hates “neckchain” style headphones?

I hate the damn things, yet every manufacturer seems to be switching to this style. Why? I think it’s a cack idea!

I thought it was just a Sony thing, so I stopped buying Sony headphones as a result. But the other day my new Sennheiser MX75’s arrived through the post, and what did I discover? That’s right, ***ing stupid neckchain style cable  . I went ****ing nuts and threw them out of the window. They’re still laying on my lawn where they’ve been since Friday. I know that some people like them, which is fair enough, but I wish the manufacturer would make it clear what kind of cable headphones have so we can all make an informed decision.

Also, what’s the deal with headphones be supplied with really short cables and extensions? Great! So now I have the choice of 30cm cable, or 1.8M. I always have my iPod in my trouser pocket, so what I ideally need is a 1.2M cable, you know, LIKE ALL BLOODY HEADPHONES USED TO HAVE!

Looks like I’m destined to use the crappy iPod headphones forever, as I don’t like neckchain cables, I don’t like extensions, and I don’t like those headphones you have to stab down you ear canal. :(

Get some creative EP-630's, OcUK do them for about £20, and they're Y necks, with great sound quality.
Thanks for the suggestion, but:
