Am I too fussy?

I took delivery of my new Mini Cooper D on 4/10/16 and on 15/11/16 I was hit in the rear whilst stationary at a roundabout damaging the plastic panel which I believe is known as the rear bumper cover.

I collected the car yesterday and thought the new panel hadn't been fitted very well leaving a gap between it and the black plastic below as shown in the attached image.

Originally the two panels were a flush fit as they are to the right of the picture and as they are on other Minis in the showroom.

My wife thinks I am being too fussy but I believe she is influenced by the dread of having an awful Yaris again as a hire car.

Am I being unreasonable in expecting the car to be restored to its original condition or am I being too fussy and accept it as it is?

Nope, should be as it was before it was hit with no exceptions.

Should take then all of 5 mins to re seat that bit of trim anyway - tried giving it a bit of persuasion yourself? Looks like a clip hasn't quite popped in

You are not being too fussy.

Problem is with modern cars, once bumpers, panels and otherwise come off. They never go back on the same as factory :p

Thanks for your comments.

I will take it back tomorrow and it is good to know that I am not alone in thinking it is not good enough.
