Am I too old?

36 i regularly play on my pc/ps3 and wii got so many games but 2 kis and missus eats up a lot of my time, before we lived together i would take holiday on big release days :) no point now as i end up gardening or watching babe.

lifes unfair when i was young i had loads of time and no cash for games and hardware now i can afford it i ain't got the time :D

i saw something special yesterday. one of my best mates and his brother were weighing up the pros and cons and taking their pc's to same house for some all night LAN action when older brothers girlfriend walks in and starts demanding that we do this because she wants to play cod4 and BC2! where do they find these women?

Bloody hell, I knew I was old but you lot make me feel a whole lot better about gaming. I also get the... .... from my girlfriend when I start raving about new hardware or games coming out. I'm currently 29 years old with no plans of quitting any time soon.

Complete opposite here.
I've lived alone in this house for 15 years on the 22nd of October & my front room is built around me & my gaming & music & entertainment.
Children are banned from my house as they use to much bandwidth & women are chained to the sink with just enough length to reach the oven.

Haha.

I can well see myself arguing with the kids to cut out downloading or gaming as daddy needs his bandwith to keep pwning!!!

I how a guy in his mid 40s who booked a days holiday when Modern Warfare came out.

My folks both play games and they're almost ready for a bus pass, although they do play Civ 4 and Lemmings.

Definitely not too old.

And anyone who spends any time watching television in their free time has no right to complain about someone playing a game!

I guy I work with is about 40 and he's the biggest games player I know. He seems to get through xbox360 games like there's no tomorrow. He's just polished off Just Cause 2 and has moved onto Borderlands.

41, been gaming since I was a kid.

My ex wife complianed a lot about the time I spent gaming, I always argued that at least I was in the house and not getting upto no good down the pub.

In general women complain about whatever men do as a hobbie, because in their eyes we spend more time doing the hobbie than with them.

I now have set gaming nights and my current partner is happy with that.

Everyone's a winner, you know it makes sense.

I'm 45 and play a fair bit of WoW with a bunch of other drunken bums my kind of age. I also enjoy playing a FPS every now and then, but my son's better at those than I am as his reactions are faster than mine now :(

I'm only 16 and my family views gaming as a bad thing >< Nevertheless, I sort out all their pc problems so they let me be unless I have exams :P

So hold old are you ?

Although Ive always kept up to date with the latest hardware I haven't really been into the gaming side of PCs since the CS:S days.

I've recently been bitten by the bug again, this time with BC2. Thing is im 30 now and the wife thinks im too old and my mates think im a bit sad :D

My sons though ( 8 and 4 ) think daddy is "super cool"

As has been said, age is just a number.

But yes, you do sound too old to be gaming.
I think you would be happier doing something more sensible. Like gardening.
