to want to modify the M5?

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not thinking outrageous bodykits or anything stupid, and the M5 is beyond anything I've ever wanted in a car, but I can't help wanting a bit more. I've been toying with an Akropovic exhaust for sometime, and after disabling the ASM within the car (the thing that pipes the exhaust through the speakers), I really really found the car very quiet. So I turned it back on.

I love the wheels I have too, but can't help thinking there are others out there that set the car off better.

As long as your cool with the idea it may hinder rather than help resale value then tear away, theres definately a satisfaction in changing a car to be only what you want.

As for the exhaust, i sympathise entirely, why they make lovely sounding engines then throttle the sound silly is beyond me.

As for age, it really doesnt matter for a good hobby, hell if there are 80 year olds going airsofting i think you'll be ok modding a car.

I have listened to an M5 with the Akrapovitch, although not from inside the car. The owner fired it up near me, and I went over to ask what system it was.

I can only say that would be mad not to. :cool:

Them exhausts in that you tube clip don't sound that good.....Maybe it just the video making them sound bad :confused:

I get that..... This one might be better. Either way, it's happening.... Carbon or titanium tips though. Price is the same, just think the carbon will always make them look dirty....

Do it, just keep the original items and swap them back if/when you want to sell it and sell the aftermarket items separately. Win win in my opinion.

I love the stock look of the m5 they pretty much got it perfect including the wheels. but yes to performance mods 100% on an exhaust and please dont go carbon just screams boy racer vinyl wrap to me now days
