Hi i maybe paranoid but I have had several notifications today saying my Diskstation has blocked ip address ..........
just arrived home and scanned the ip address and traced three to china and one to the Ukraine, am i under cyber attack or am i being silly?

Is your 'Diskstation' pointed at the internet in any way?

As above, but just release the IP lease from your routers WAN config.

Rebooted (first time in 12 months) hopefully that will be the end of it. Have an email address and telephone number even the floor number of the office, might send a ****y email to express my concerns.

The Diskstation shouldn't be accepting connections from the Internet. Don't waste your time sending cease and desist letters. Rebooting the router won't stop bots discovering the new IP.

It's normal for me to get hundreds of attacks a day. I thought this was the same for everyone. Any open port will get some attention and the others tested.

Had my Diskstation for about 18 months and never had this issue before, haven't changed any settings.

If you go to your diskstation web ui, then Control Panel -> Router Configuration is there anything checked for forwarding ports to the Diskstation?

If not then there has to be some rules defined on your router itself.
