Am I unreasonable?

I bought something from a trader on the famous auction site but, never got anything in the post or an email for 5 days, So I emailed him to see where it was or if he had sent it. I got no reply to several emails so, I got his phone number and tried to call him about 20 times a day for 3 days but, he didn't answer the phone once. As a final result I asked paypal to reclaim my money and suddenly I get 5 emails in 12 hours! His now claiming all kinds of silly things like I gave him the wrong email address etc. and is now saying that I'm unreasonable?
So the question is, Am I unreasonable and how long would you wait for something if it didn't arrive and the seller was not communicating with you?

It doesn't sound unreasonable, he was obviously not paying any attention. I would get in a flap too and he should learn to pay attention to sellers a bit more. I would get the item then leave him neutral feedback, that should give him some incentive to improve.
