Am I using my Mic properly? (360)

I talk to people in lobbies but nobody replies even if they have a mic plugged in. Is there a button I need to press down when I need to talk or anything like that?

(And yes I have checked the volume/muting etc)

Yeah I would have expected at least SOMEBODY to say Hi when I'm screaming 'HELLO CAN ANYBODY HERE ME' in every lobby I go into.

Is it voice activated during lobbies or does a button need to be pressed? I remember playing on the original XB and having to press a button.

I have an unofficial headset and the mute is the wrong way around. It says " mute on/off". Now I'd have expected that to mean that on would be mute on, but its atually the other way around, ie on = headset on

You can tell if its working in pgr3 lobby becuase you see a speaker icon by your name when you talk
