Am i wasting money?

I am looking to buy a set of Creative Gigaworks G550W speakers. I have chosen them because they are within budget (£200), they are a 5.1 setup, an they have wireless rear speakers. My soundcard is a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer. I could get a better card, but would need to get cheaper speakers.
Will this card be able to get the best from these speakers?
Are the speakers overkill and should i spend less?
Anyone recommend a cheaper alternative 5.1 setup with wireless rear speakers?

depends what your neighbours are like really - I have the G500s and an X-Fi Fatality and sound quality is the best I've heard without an proper stereo setup - living in a flat at the moment though and can't really turn them up much, but they go loud as heck in a small room and keep the quality high.

Thanks for that. My office isn't very big, so do you think the 550's are too much? Is there a smaller set up with wireless rear speakers?
