Looking good. It will be whippy-quick. (This term has been copyrighted, any unauthorised use will be met with severe not-arsedness (This term is also copyright))

That one you have chosen is good, but its not quality unlike the Lian-Li, which is.

Expensive ram in the extreme when you compare it with this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-058-GL which is better anyway. And sooo very cheap!

If you can stretch get a 680 mobo get it, better overclocker.

Or if you cant get a DS3P which is also very good http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-076-GI

Other than that its a very whippy-quick system :D

cant pay 176.00 for motherboard think i will stick with the asus as for memory been told a few different 1s dont know what to go for now lol help.............. :(

I would get the ds3 mobo and geil ram linkedin jaffa-cakes post and either pocket the saving or put it towards a slighlty better gfx card, 640mb version maybe?

Get the crucial if you're planning on some serious overclocking otherwise the get the Geil.

is the ds3 mobo better then the asus and is the geil memory nnot very could for over clocking

Make sure you get the DS3P rather than the DS3 if you are getting one of those boards, its 1333MHz FSB rather than 1066MHz on the DS3 + it has all of the DS3 faults ironed out.

The Giel PC6400 ram will overclock to about 900MHz from 800 before it starts getting dangerously high voltage.

The Crucial Ballistix PC5300 will overclock to 1066MHz from 667 at very low voltage increases.

well i have change the memory to GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC)
and i have ordered them there will be here on tuesday so i have bought a few strong headache tables on the ready cant wait :) oh and i have told the the boss (wife) its only costing 250 quid .....so i lie. :D

The Boss (wife)

Yep, I have told the boss similar stories; like the 4Gig of RAM that only cost £35. Or the Windows Upgrade to Vista at £25 !!!
If she believes it I will keep telling her !!!
Cheers, Steve

Good choice on the dual boot of xp and vista, apparently microsoft may bring in a software validation system of some sort which will only allow microsoft allowed software, in others everyone who wants to sell program to run on vista may have to pay to get it digitally signed by microsoft.

I dunno if this will ever happen or not but just been told about it from lecturer in comp science degree

I hear the cooling on the Antec nine hundred cases isn't all that great...? Can't speak from first hand experience though, but I can say I'm a huge fan of Lian-Li after building an extremely similar system using the PC-7 PLUS.

The NH-U12F is also on this weeks offers, and I've been amazed at how well it does:

Should be mighty whippy-quick though. :p

My Antec Nine Hundred is amazing for cooling and looks superb.

Ah ok, I might be off base there then. I remember looking at it vs a P180 and at the time there was something that made me go for the P180 despite the added cost. Perhaps it was noise? I must say the nine hundred does look pretty snazzy, if you like that sort of thing. :D

(In the end I got the PC-7 PLUS though ;) )

I think the antec 900 is better for cooling than the p180, not too certain. But i still think the 180 looks nicer. But i geuss the antec 900 is fairly decent value anyway.
I'm upgrading to a very similar system soon :P hope its good, plus im upgrading from a similar system.
