Now the Prices are down, and it looks more like a console than club, I am sorely tempted to get a PS3. The problem is, I don't care how "good" the console is really, but what online facilities/game exclusives there are available. That's the main attraction

Have a look and see if any take you fancy, search this forum as there has been plenty of threads asking pretty much the same thing.

Just don't rely on the wireless connectivity of the thing, it doesn't bloody work as it should! It keeps signing you out of the online side of things which makes playing any online content nigh on impossible.

Azagoth you are in the minority with these problems, you keep coming into these sorts of threads stating your issues as if they're commonplace but they're anything but. It sucks that you have problems but i used wireless for the best part of a year without a single issue and the vast majority of this forums also haven't experienced problems.

Oh right, so because I'm in a minority I'm not allowed to point out the problems I've been having with the console when someone asks about the online aspects of the thing then? I may be in the minority on these boards, but on the Official PS3 forums, and other boards, it's a widespread and well known issue.

What i'm trying to say is you can't state in these threads that the issue is the norm when it's anything but and not expect someone to question your statement (TSG). It's a known issue yes but it's by far in the minority, for most people the wireless is flawless.

Well perhaps its an issue with certain mixes of hardware. Maybe you should start your own thread so we can help you resolve it?

No it's not my router, my router is fine.

I had wireless issues when I first had the launch 60GB.

It would disconnect repeatedly (as you mentioned) but it was solved with a PS3 firmware update. Perhaps try and see if there is a router firmware update available or try a different router to test the theory.

Your PS3 could be in a dead spot. Same way as if your standing under a mobile phone mast you won't get any signal.

Who knows, but I just use a wired connection, I was just saying to Azagoth mine was hopeless at wireless (granted this is when I got it back in January) so it might be fine now, just CBA to try.

I am gonna be getting a PS3 in the next month or so ! (and a new TV lol gonna be expensive)

Had a 360 since launch and sold it last year, great console but i fancy a change.

PS3 got loads of gams i wanna play, MGS 4, Uncharted, Kill Zone 2, Resistance 2, Motor Storm, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue also not a game but play TV looks useful !

Not to mention Blue-Ray.

Be stuff i miss from the 360, but thats the way it is.

Oh and COD MW2 :D
