am2 4800+ x2 overclocking

got it sat on my crosshair now.. much more control over the o/cing than my previous board... anyways...

Its sat stable at 2.9Ghz i cant take it any further due to temps (on a zalman 9500 atm)

but im curious as to whats safe voltage wise? its on 1.47v now? is that too much whats the max safe voltage, or is it just a case of if it stays cool its fine?

3.0Ghz was my target it looks promising with a better cooler....

the voltage depends what core you have, if it was a S939 cpu id say 1.55v but being am2 it could be 90nm or 65nm.

its a 65nm mate.
got it at 3.0Ghz and its stable at the moment on 1.50v

That too much voltage, am i gonna kill it?

Is the default 1.3v?

if so, i wouldnt go any higher than 1.45v personally on air cooling.

1.5v is fine as long as your temps are ok, I'd say even 1.55v is safe.

well it says 55-72C is max temp on AMD site and its just topping 58C

Its stable tho, i guess it'll be ok from your comments?
