I have an old Danger Den Maze 4 (socket 939) from the Opteron days and was hoping to recycle it for use on my Asus M3A78-Em - Socket AM2+

Does anyone know if there are any generic adapters that would fit? I have asked the guys at OcUK if the Cuplex one works - but was wondering if there were any other options?

Buy a cheap AM3 compatible water block, the aquacomputer blocks aren't that expensive, more than likely perform better and will have better socket compatibility.

I would say you would be better looking for a cheap used block that fits AM2+, maybe an EK LTX, would knock 10-15 degrees off the temps compared to a Maze.

Thanks for that - will keep an eye out - I know you can't say it here but I'm not hugely fussed about temps, was just looking to get the watercooling going again using all the old bits in the garage - I have found one universal adapter that actually looks pretty good for about £4 so if that sale works I'll go with that, if not I probably will pick up a cheap 2nd hand block.

Are the Am2 and Am3 holes different?
