am2/am2+ question

Hi all

I just want to be clear on this,

-an am2+ mobo can run both older athlon 64 cpus and the more recent phenom cpu's.

Can someone pls confirm that, dont want to waste money

It depends on what motherboard you have; some boards will take both and all that's required to run newer Phenom's is a BIOS flash. You can normally check on the manufacturers site of your motherboard for what CPU's are compatible and what BIOS version you need.

ahh thx, I find that motherboards are the most annoying compnent to pick out.
