am2 and am3 coolers

Can someone please confirm if the am2 coolers fit the new am3 socket,

i have had a look around the net but not found 100% confirmation that they do fit,

I currently have the Zalman CNPS 9700 LED Socket 754, 940, 775, 939 & AM2 CPU cooler,
