Are the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+ 3.00GHz (Socket AM2) - Retail Any good? My mate is thinking of upgrading from his 3500 Venice. He would have to buy DDR2 and a new mobo too?

What do you think guys? He wants to keep costs down buy upgrade to a better CPU. Thanks
