AM2 Dual Core X2

Hi, I'm thinking of upgrading to AM2 dual core. I was reading the recommended memory configs: AM2 Dual Core X2 DDR2-667 or 800 (PC2-5300 or PC2-6400).

I was wondering what effect it would have on 1GB PC2-5300 if I was to add 1GB of standard DDR PC3200.

You won't likely be able to use the DDR with AM2 as it's essentally DDR2 only (there might be the odd board here and there though).
