...disappearing like hot potatoes?
First the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5000+ and now the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ are out of stock, and most of the AMD bundles too.
There's doings afoot!
If only I had snapped up the bits when I first noticed, instead of brooding over the choice of components for a new PC for the last couple of weeks :(
Oh well :D

Trouble with all of this computing lark is there is so much to choose from and a great deal of information to assimilate. The last time I thought about anything like this was almost 4 years ago now. My, my, how things have changed.
My first thought was AMD as that is what I'm used to at home (no other reason really). We use Intel stuff at work- I guess I've always considered (rightly or wrongly, or more likely out of dately  ) that Intel stuff was more suited to the sort of thing I do at work as opposed to gaming at home.
Intel appears to have won by a nose where price and speed are concerned, but the 60 odd page blurb at THG spills more worms over the carpet (for me anyway) than it sweeps up
Not being all that interested in overclocking my kit or getting the very latest cutting edge new thing (yer yer, tight-wadd hehe) reduces my need to something relatively speedy in comparison to what I'm using now, and something that I know will be as reliable as the tide.
Bah.. back to the hardware guides again :p
