In one of my posts, someone stated that all phenoms are AM2+, however on this page...

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=701&catid=6&subid=1033

only one is detailed as AM2+, the rest say AM2, so can someone tell me whether I had false information or whether the product page is incorrect?

I ask because I want to upgrade my cpu to a phenom 9850, but if I run an AM2+ on my board, my bus speed will drop from HT3.0(5200MHz) to HT1.0(2000 MT/s).

Basically I want to know if I can run a phenom 9850 onmy board and get the full benefit, but that depends on whether it is AM2 or AM2+...phew ;)

Well you won't get the full benefit as it'll be an AM2+ chip running on an AM2 board. But I don't think you take that much of a hit.

All Phenoms are AM2+ , you should really check out to see what other people have experienced with using Phenom's on your mobo.
Some motherboards are fine but I'm sure there's plenty where the Phenom support is flaky at best...

I have the MSI K9A2 Platinum AM2+ mobo, works pretty nicely! Not got a phenom yet still got my X2 5000 Black edition in there :)
