AM2/+ question

Hey all, I've got a question about motherboards for AMD processors; specifically is there a difference in the socket of AM2 boards and ones which say they have AM2+?
For example would my opteron 1222 (which I know to be AM2) work in a board advertised as an AM2+?

According to wikipedia AM2 processors work with AM2+ boards..

Well, that sure was easy to find, now I feel dumb! Thanks anyway, guess I just wanted to ask incase anyone had tested it...

And on a side note: dammit! I went through a lot of trouble to get my opteron because I thought a phenom wouldn't work!

I didn't know and wasn't suggesting anything by the link, as I'm a current intel user I thought it was a reasonable question so please don't think I was saying "try the internet",
