AM2 x2 + DDR

Quick question, do you have to use DDR2 for AM2 x2 processors or can I use my old DDR PC 3700?

AM2 has to use DDR2, socket 939 uses DDR1.

is that the dual sata 2? as with this you need an am2 adaptor but the ddr2 sticks connect to this adaptor I think...maybe it does also work with normal DDR though.

There is that one but there is also a 939 to AM2, DDR to DDR2 board,

Thanks for the answers guys. I'm trying to find a way to upgrade my system but I just bought an AGP 7600GT from OcUK and when I got home my old S754 motherboard had mysteriously died on me. I don't want to buy lots of new parts unless I have to (I think I'd rather get a Mac than upgrade a full PC setup again).
