Ok i can wait no longer finally going to buy into am3 as i cant find any info on realese of the crosshair 3 board and fed waiting on tec. Pure gaming rig to play,wow,TF2,left for dead etc @ 1900x1200 only need mo bo suggetions and WHY pls

Set up will be AM3 550BE
ocz 1333 DDR3 4gb
GTX 280
True
Antec 1200
750w modular crosair (waiting on stock)

so which board best to OC the 550 ya think

MSI 790FX-GD70 AMD 790FX
Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD5P

Not interested in the asus

I've got the Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD5P, it will let you clock a 955BE to 3.6GHz on stock voltage & upto 3.8GHz with inncreased volts.

It's a good board very stable, regular bios updates, best rma service too around 5 working days.

The Gigabyte gets my vote for sure.

That the gygabyte 4 m8 the gygabyte 5 is still £150, been reading a lot sites and the msi seems to keep coming up on top but thanks

Aye much better value, people still getting the same overclocks with the Gigabyte MA790FXT-UD4P.

Buy Gigabyte, Msi for amd are crap.Especially when you use it with Phenom because the cpu's section is too weak.

I am goging with gig but only becuase the RMA reputation, i think you find that the MSI is regarded one of the best am3 boards out now...pretty sure im never saw any think about it having a weak cpu scetion :rolleyes:

now i need to make my mind up about p2,550be or p2x3be aghhh

Well maybe it's good but i have been using Msi K9a2 Cf-f for about a year and i am never gonna trust Msi again.I had to send it to the rma twice and they were reparing it instead of giving me new one even tho each time the fault was exactly the same(burnt cpu section).
