Hi everyone

I'm not sure I'm getting the temps I should in my new rig (50ºC under prime95 blend on stock clocks) and apart from replacing my crappy case I'm also considering upgrading my cooler.

This is the first time I build a rig, and I'm currently using a Thermaltake ISGC-300, as you can see in my sig. Would be great to have your input as to what's my best bet here please

These are my options:

1.- Keep my current heatsink
2.- COOLIT DM1000 (WC)
3.- COOLIT PURE (WC)
4.- CORSAIR H50 (WC)
5.- NOCTUA NH-C12P SE14
6.- NOCTUA NH-U12P SE 2
7.- SCYTHE MUGEN2
8.- THERMALTAKE SPINQ VT
9.- Swap the whole thing for a bag of chips

Thanks again :)

Number 6 gets my vote, and I'm using a H50 atm. I think the Noctua is the more sensible purchase, and will be a better performer.

if your going to overclock then yeah change you h/sink. if your going to leave at stock i think i could live with 50c full load. if your case has poor airflow id seriously consider changing it or even better get the dremel out! and get some air in&out

Yes myporph, I will be OCing. thanks for the suggestions.

BTW, a friend told me about the Noctua NH D14. Having read some reviews I know now that it's so large it will block my Corsair dominator sticks, Removing the disipators from my RAM sticks is a very bad idea, right? does anybody know if it will block all four sticks? I could live with 4Gb
