Looking for a AM3 board, with DDR2 Memory, cant really afford to upgrade board and memory, DDR2 with dual channel should be cool anyhows, with double crossfire support, not really interested in tri or quad crossfire.

Willing to go AM2+ but have heard that a AM3 chip in AM2+ board the system bus speed will downgrade from HT3.0 (5200 MT/s) to HT1.0 (2000 MT/s), not sure if this true but if so would prefer AM3.

Wanting to go around/sub £80 ish if this possible, want a decent fast board with good bios/overclocking abilities. Never really overclocked before except graphics cards with windows software as opposed to bios flashing, so want this new motherboard to learn overclocking as basically the Biostar GF8200e is ****e, and to add room for crossfire.

Rest of Setup is as follows:

AM3 Athlon 2 x 4 630 2.8Ghz

2 x 2GB DDR2 PC2-6400 800Mhz

Sata CDRW/DVD Combi

Sata 450GB 7200rpm HDD

Radeon 4870 1gb

PCI Wireless Adapter Card

After shopping around found the DFI LAN Party DK 790FXB-M2RSH (http://www.modreactor.com/english/R...XB-M2RSH-AMD-LanParty-Motherboard-Review.html) board, for around £60, seems my best bet at the moment, is AM2+. Any other suggestions or ideas would be appreciated?

I've just built a system with a gigabyte ga ma790x-ud3p, cost me 65 quid. Seems pretty good so far [one day in!] Running a AMD Phenom II X4 955, 2x2gb ddr2+ 2x512mb ddr2, 1tb sata etc. Have a Nvidia card [bought previously and too good to change] but the board does support crossfire
