With the standard hook fitting on the motherboard will an AM3+ cooler for on an AM4 board?

What a weird thread.

Not all coolers with an AM3/+ socket compatibility will fit AM4, it's probably the exception rather than the rule and that's down to using the AM4 mounting stuff that doesn't even get used for a stock Ryzen CPU.

prism and max coolers use it, i found out that the Am3+ coolers that use the stock mounting plate will all fit.
that the question i was asking
