AM4 + AM5 build, make them better / cheaper

Hi All,

A friend wants PC for around £500 to play old Total war games on. so far ive come out with two version around, would like smaller M-ATX FF
600 - 800 pounds the graphics card i have and will sell to him for about £100

i am sure people could get both of these builds down so i'd love to hear suggestions for both.

Obviously i dont want to make it too bottom of the barrel for him : )

The most obvious saving on the AM5 system is to get a 7600 non-X, which means you can dump the AIO and use the box cooler.

The other parts it would depend on the price, since some of these changes may be unhelpful:

This is the best bit of advice, for a 7600 go boxed until you want/need/can afford better. 7500Fs can be had for under £100, tiny bit slower than a 7600 but you'd need a cooler and probably won't get a warranty so depends on how much they want to save.

1070s go for less than £100 so just how much of a friend are you? :D

i am building his PC for free... On other secondhand sites they are going for £90 - £110 seemed fair and no he's not a "close friend"

Could just get him a pre-built and have an easy life but he wont be getting anything good for his budget.
