AM4 bracket for older cooler

I have a Thermolab Baram cooler on a Phenom 955 and am changing to a Ryzen 1700 setup (decided a spanking new 2700x rig was pushing the boat out a little bit too much.)
Am getting the Ryzen with the stock Wraith Spire cooler and was wondering if the Baram would be better and if I can get the AM4 bracket for it.
Can't find anything from a quick Web search and dont know if there are brackets out there that will work but don't state it.
Not planning on OC'ing at first but maybe down the line.
If times have moved on and the stock cooler is better or it's not worth the hassle finding a bracket then so be it!

Baram certainly looks like a serious piece of kit, and I seriously doubt the spire would be as good. Especially when you add on it's a top down cooler, which will mess up airflow a bit. AMD coolers seem to be good enough to do the job, I've just got the 2700x on the prism and after long gaming sessions only push 70 or so on tdie. If you can find a bracket, and it's not an arm and a leg, go for it, but the spire would probably be enough at first if the bracket takes a while. Especially if you aren't overclocking at first.

As long as your case airflow is good, then the spire should definitely do the job.

No idea on brackets though.

I'd be tempted to make my own. I guess you need a backplate with screws that come through, then the "smart bracket" part might need adjusting.

I've converted LGA775 coolers to 115x by filling out the clip holes before - the difference between holes is about 2mm diagonally outwards on each corner. Within sensible amounts of modification.

What Unseul said. With case airflow setup properly you will be fine with stock cooler. While it's probably not as good as your Barum, it's not horrible.

As for upgrading Barum mount, probably none available, honestly I don't think it's any better than a number of coolers in the £25-35 range, maybe even less. As I remember it was similar in performance to 212, and 212 isn't anything at all great .. just used to be a good low-cost cooler.
