Hi all,

Been playing with my new rig and I reckon that temps are the only thing stopping me hitting 4GHz + on my Ryzen 5 1600
My question is, for good performance to really push the cpu but keep noise Tova minimum should I go lower end water solution or higher end air.
Suggestions if good options welcome.
Thanks all.

Hi

You don't need to spend a fortune on cooling with Ryzen. Something like an Alpenfohn Brocken 3 for £43 would do fine.

Of course if you want 'high end' then look at coolers like the Noctua D15/D15S, BeQuiet Dark Rock 3/Pro 3 or Cryorig R1 Ultimate/Universal. Just watch out for tall ram modules as some of these big coolers can block ram slots. The D15S and R1 Universal are better in that regard.

For AIO's then I would keep to the well known brands such as Corsair, NZXT, BeQuiet and Thermaltake. Stick with 240mm or above depending on what your case can hold.
