AM4 mobos cant take an AM3 cpu can they?

so deskop is dead well im pretty sure its the mobo thats dead and rather than up grade the whole thing as, well, money grabing an am4 mobo just now isnt possible to then use the ddr3 and fx6300 i have in it. pretty sure it cant be done but no harm in checking

not cheap enough, at £45 i feel if be better sucking it up and carding a ryzen move, which i will be doing pretty much anyway just haddent planned to do it for a little while

Ahh OK if you want to stick with AMD the R5 CPU's are coming out in mid April and will be a lot cheaper than the R7's
