a bit like when am5 came out, runningat 6000 speed was problematic...3 yrs later and 6000 now the standard you buy and some boards can run at 8200 speed, and b650 boards can run them too with bios updates wich patch the memory controller software

I flashed the latest bios on it yesterday. I think it's the ram the steel series from patriot I've read a lot of people having bother with it. I've got a Ryzen 5800X3D I've just bought I'm going to see if it works with that. But I'm sure I had this 5600X working with team group ddr4 3600mhz in an MSI x570 build last year.

tbh, ram running 3600C18 or 3200C16 pretty much going to give similar performance...seem to remember a few years back people saying that about the patriot ram..def a thread on here about it.
but seeing as you have x3d cpu now, that'll take some of the heavy lifting off the ram anyway...you'l be comparing your performance to the 3600cpu so any loss of a fps or 2 via ram will be lost in the uplift you get anyway. just enjoy

that's right...have to enable DOCP (direct over clock profile) on my mobo...think they just changed the name to expo as easier to remember (def rolls of the tongue better than 'doc-per' or 'D.O.C.P!!!') and increase brand awareness
